Applications are currently being taken for the ‘School Direct’ Initial teacher training course, beginning in September 2022. Applications are now made via the DfE Apply ( https://www.find-postgraduate-teacher-training.service.gov.uk/course/2FF/36FW?fbclid=IwAR2yA8jXWk4OfUUVpsz95mE5gy1UiTVaOCvFGsAP7HNeH4FtpjpQXVrm7Fo ), from 12th October 2021. This will remain open all year until the 10 available places are filled.
We work with St Margaret’s C of E Primary School, who have been offered places to train the teachers of the future. The placements take place across a local cluster of schools (Nevilles Cross Primary, St. Oswalds CE Primary, Shincliffe CE Primary, St. Thomas More Catholic Primary, St Godric’s Catholic Primary, Blue Coat CE Primary School, St Bede’s Primary School and Sacriston Primary School).
If you currently have a degree (or are due to complete your degree this year) and are interested in this one year, school centered, teacher training programme, please see the additional information documents below, or contact Mrs. Amy Bell directly at St Margaret’s on 0191 3847331. They are always keen to welcome you to school for a chat about what the partnership can offer before you make your final UCAS application.
