What a wonderful turn out! Thank you to all staff, friends of the school, parents and pupils who contributed towards our coffee morning today. All proceeds go directly to ‘Against Breast Cancer’ a charity Mr Clarke has been fundraising for – running three of the best-known marathons in April. London – which he completed in 4 hours 22minutes; Paris in 4 hours 25 minutes and Manchester 4 hours and 22 minutes.
Your kind contributions towards this wonderful charity, which was £586.16, will help Mr Clarke raise a total of approximately £4000, when all other fundraising activities are completed and the total is match funded by Barclaycard.
Parents and families really dug deep for this fantastic cause, buying copious amounts of cake, bacon sandwiches and buying raffles tickets for the prizes on offer. Prize winners were:
- 1st Prize – A £100 gift voucher for Malmaison, which was donated by Mr and Mrs Clarke – and won by Chelsea Pollin.
- 2nd Prize – A luxury hamper of wine and chocolate, which was donated by Barclaycard’s Tracey Harle – and won by Catherine Ditchburn.
- 3rd Prize – A luxury hamper of wine and biscuits, which was donated by Mrs Clarke and school staff – won by yellow ticket number 113. This is one of the tickets sent home BUT it has no name on it, so PLEASE CHECK YOUR NUMBERS! It could be YOU!
- 4th Prize – A hamper of toiletries which was donated by school staff –won by our very own Mrs Henderson!
- 5th Prize – A 1 hour pitch hire voucher, donated by Soccarena, for the value of £48 – won by Diane Francis.
- 6th Prize – A £10 Tesco Gift Card which was donated by Tesco’s Community Champion, Lucy Thexton – won by Isla Cooper.
- Our runners up prizes were won by:
Jo Ireton, Yihan, Pauline Hinde, Mrs Milan, Alice, Linda Tobin and Lauren.
